'Masterpiece' thriller with 'terrifying' scene on BBC tonight
A wild thriller from the 1970s has earned cult status as film fans hail it as a "masterpiece", and it's on BBC Four tonight. Deliverance, released in 1972, stars Jon Voight, Burt Reynolds, Ned Beatty and Ronny Cox as four city-dwelling friends who decide to get away from their jobs, wives and kids for a week of canoeing in rural Georgia.
